Luke has a PhD in Physics and nearly two decades of experience spanning academic research and industrial R&D, including the development of high-end laser systems for a leading European astronomical research organisation. His work has been transferred to industry, underpins several commercially available high-value products, has been published and is well-cited. He has first-hand experience toeing the line between IP protection and publications.
Luke has unique insight into Aotearoa’s technology transfer ecosystem, having held a senior role in an early stage deep-tech company and worked at both ends of the research-to-commercial pipeline. He is particularly interested in supporting new technologies for favourable climate change.
